Cooking without Boundaries with Terra Firma Dining

Our 2026 Expo Eve dinner is shaping up to be our most memorable yet!

Join us for a very special New England food, wine and live music experience to celebrate the beginning of the 2026 Expo Weekend on Friday 27th March 2026.

It's pretty special to have internationally renowned chef Charly Pretet from Terra Firma Dining bringing his unique style of cooking and sharing food to showcase a selection of the finest the New England has to offer. 

A word from Terra Firma :“Terra Firma Dining is an immersive outdoor catering experience like no other. Cooked exclusively over an open flame, this unique fire to table journey is a feast for all the senses. We are all about celebrating food, where it comes from and bringing people together.”

Hosted at Rock Abbey Gardens under a clear roof marquee lined with festoon lights, the setting is perfect for an off-grid cooking adventure and we are in good hands with Charly and his team from Terra Firma.

Enjoy a glass of something local on arrival as you make your way to a very New England grazing table with a wonderful view.  Settle in for some great conversation and a very special main course and dessert cooked over coals and served on share platters delivered to your table. 

We hear every year from our city friends about how much they love the Seasons Expo weekend in Uralla, and we have created this very special bush dining experience for us all to share together.  It's all about sharing good food, enjoying each other's company and soaking up great music in a beautiful bush setting.  It's the kind of thing that creates memories for a lifetime and we'd love to share it with you.

Inclusions :

• Return bus from outside the Seasons of New England Store at 31 Salisbury St Uralla, leaving at 3 departure times - 4pm, 4.40pm and 5.20pm, return bus also at 3 times - 9.40pm, 10.20pm and 11pm.  If you prefer to take your own vehicle that is also perfectly fine, there is parking on site.

• We'd encourage you to embrace a communal seating style rather than reserved seats.  However if you want to be seated in a group, please let us know and for groups of 8 or more we can reserve a group of seats for you

"Charly made the switch from fine dining to fire dining in 2020 in the midst of the pandemic. Limited by where he could enjoy cooking good food, Charly took to the immediate environment around him and created his kitchen without borders. Inspired by the traditional Argentinian Asado barbecue method, he created Terra Firma Dining. Charly's mission is to connect people back to the environment where food is grown. His unique dining experiences are all about celebrating, sharing and bringing people together by the fire. It's edgy, it's primal but still a little bit French.”
